Welcome!
Hello! my name is Lauren. I am an artist, illustrator, and member of the SCBWI (Visit my Contact for a link to my SCBWI page). I want the audience invested in the stories I create and for them to curious. What is at the end of that trail? What would it be like to rest by that stream? What happened to that abandoned building?
My work gravitates towards nature and the rural beauty that exists on the border of city life. I take inspiration from, not only nature, but the fantastical. Creating a story emphasizing the beauty that can be found in the everyday.
I use digital and traditional mediums, like watercolor, ink, and gouache to tell a story that the viewer can feel immersed in and eager to explore.
